Die California State East Bay University (CSUEB) ist eines der 23 Campen, die zur führenden Vereinigung der California State Universities gehört.

Die CSUEB ist vor allem durch ihre kleinen Klassengrößen von durchschnittlich 26 Studierenden pro Kurs, der persönlichen Lernumgebung und dem vielfältigen Studienangebot gekennzeichnet. Vor allem hebt sich die Universität durch die neumalige Auszeichnung als “Best in the West College" durch die „Princeton Review“ von der breiten Masse der Universitäten ab. Insbesondere bevorzugen Wirtschaftsstudenten die CSUEB, da der Fachbereich für „Business and Economics“ zu den 300 "Best Business Schools" im Land zählt.

Mit ihren niedrigen Studiengebühren und Ihre Offenheit für internationale Studierenden wir die California State University East Bay von vielen deutschen Studierenden präferiert.

Campus

Die California State University East Bay verteilt sich im San Francisco East Bay Gebiet über drei Campusse - Hayward Hills, Concord und Oakland.

Ersteres zeichnet sich durch den atemberaubenden Ausblick auf die San Fransisco Bay aus und ist der zentrale Campus der Universität.

Der Concord Campus, worin auch die Bibliothek zu finden ist, befindet sich am Mt. Diablo. Fragen zum Studium oder zur Lehre können hier bei den „Academic Services“ beantwortet werden. Zuletzt ist noch der kleine Campus in der Innenstadt von Oakland zu nennen, worin das Professional Development & Conference Center zu finden ist.

Die Stadt

Hayward befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe zu San Fransisco und ist mit 140 000 Einwohnern eines der beliebtesten Studienstandorte. Berühmt ist Hayward für den traumhaften Panoramablick über die East Bay und dem Silicon Valley.

Neben der idyllischen Natur und dem angenehmen Wetter sowohl im Sommer als auch im Winter, bietet die Stadt auch einiges an Ausgeh- und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Mit ihrer Nähe zur San Fransisco kommt das Großstadtfeeling auch nicht zu kurz.

Beschreibung

Internationale Studierende an der California State University East Bay können alle angebotenen Kurse auswählen. Es gibt keine Grenzen in Form der Semesteranzahl oder des Fachbereichs. Dies ermöglicht den Einblick in verschiedene Studiengänge und Fächer.

Zuständig hierfür ist das American Language Programm, das im Rahmen des Visiting Student Programs Bachelor- und Masterstudierenden die bestmögliche Studienerfahrung bieten möchte. Zudem bietet das ALP auch diverse Sprachkurse an.

Voraussetzungen

Um an der CSUEB ein oder mehrere Semester studieren zu können, müsst ihr einige Voraussetzungen mitbringen. Wichtig ist, das ihr als Bewerber das Abitur oder das Fachabitur nachweisen könnt.

Desweiteren müssen ausreichende Kenntnisse in der englischen Sprache nachgewiesen werden.

Der Sprachnachweis für Bachelor- und Masterstudierende kann erfolgen durch:
